Are you lucky enough to be going to a festival soon? This is the first time in 3 years that I haven’t been to Glastonbury (I opted for holidays instead) but I can still dream of festival outfit inspiration, right?!
Arguably, festivals have changed over the years. For some people, it appears to be entirely about the outfits, rather than the music, which I can assure you, I’m not promoting. When going to a festival, I believe the line up is key and if you’re only interested in seeing about 2 bands, it’s probably not worth it.
However, there’s something undeniably amazing about the festival atmosphere, particularly Glastonbury! If you haven’t been, you have to go at least once! You can stumble upon a dub step tent, then 200 yards down, find a folk stage. There’s really something for everyone, whatever your taste!
Though I don’t feel festivals should be solely about fashion, I do think if you’re going to be spending five days in a field, away from the comforts of home, you can feel better by dressing up!
Festivals are all about freedom and escapism, they’re a time for expressing yourself, so why not go for something you wouldn’t usually wear? It’s the perfect opportunity to try something new, so put on that bold patterned dress, or several layers of necklaces and have fun with your outfits!
As a vintage enthusiast who dresses as though she’s going to a festival every day, I couldn’t resist picking out some festival favourites in the wardrobe:
