Hello vintage lovers! Sorry for the lack of posts recently! It’s been a busy month, working loads, sourcing lovely vintage and preparing for my first concession in a shop!
My friend Dotty has opened a vintage & handmade shop in Blackpool, complete with a vintage room in the back! I was excited to be asked if I’d like a concession range in there! When often being asked if I have a shop, this seemed like a great opportunity to have a place to feature The Vintage Wardrobe, without all the crazy overheads of renting a shop.
Dotty’s Delightful Emporium is on the 1st floor of a building now dedicated to eclectic and alternative shopping. On the ground floor, you can find some wonderful second hand and vintage furniture. The second floor is a crafters dream named Handmade Heaven.
Here’s some photos of the emporium, courtesy of Dotty herself:
The vintage room, featuring The Vintage Wardrobe, Emporium, Walk Clothing and Lent. Check them out, they have some lovely pieces! And if you’re after vintage menswear, Walk Clothing have some fantastic tops and jackets!
The shop opened yesterday and it got quite busy, which was lovely to see! I had such a good day having a natter and eating copious amounts of cake. (thank goodness I wasn’t wearing a tight dress)
Here’s some photos of The Vintage Wardrobe’s concession range:
The Vintage Wardrobe’s corner, complete with me popping my head in!
The tops, blouses and jackets rail with 70s lace to 80s florals! (and a kitsch teddy bear shirt thrown in for good measure!)
Dresses and skirts a plenty, including some of my favourite dresses hung up there!
Blackpool is hardly renowned for it’s vintage scene, but with Dotty’s Emporium opening and the fairs she organises, this seaside town is on it’s way to having exciting places to shop. And for that, I thank you Dotty!
If you’re local to Blackpool or not too far, pop down and have a browse! It’s a lovely shop with a nice chilled out atmosphere.
Dotty’s Delightful Emporium is located at 277 Church Street, Blackpool and open Wednesdays-Sundays.
